Both serrated blades were difficult to manufacture because the blades would interfere with each other if they were serrated on both blades. After many prototypes, we pursued the spacing of the serrations that would give a smooth cutting edge. The serrated blades cut into the ingredients, making it easy to cut slippery or hard foods. It can be disassembled and washed, and is dishwasher safe! It is also compatible with home dishwashers. The handle shape is designed to be easy to hold, making it easy to cut hard foods.
